Neat! Another "publication" for your CV. Alas, the Internet up here doesn't let me play radio... silly Arctic limited bandwidth...

And your Japan album: 585 photos between 25 and 27 Mar 05 - that's like a picture every 5 min!

If I remember right, the story is there was a Japanese diplomat working in Victoria way back when, and got sick and passed away in the hospital. There was a plaque by the actual room on the ward he was in, but after that ward was closed and torn down, they built the garden to continue the memory. It's a really nice setting, right outside the hospital chapel (and one of Canada's first operating rooms), next time I'm there I'll take some pictures.

Oh, and I'm sure you knew it's the 50th anniversary of the Smurfs - any celebrations on smurfmatic.net?

Interesting story!

By the way, today, I've heard of the existence of another Filipino Canadian from Regina, and this one was an editor for Ricepaper (the Asian-Canadian publication) and who is now a manager of diversity initiatives at the CBC in Vancouver!
